When is OT needed?
When is OT Needed?
If your child or adolescent is experiencing challenges engaging in daily activities they want or need to do, make an appointment with Kids Therapy Station to discuss how occupational therapy may help.
This might look like:
Challenges with self-care skills and routines such as dressing, toileting, feeding, bathing/washing, tying shoelaces, brushing teeth
Not reaching their milestones (or losing some skills)
Difficulty maintaining attention on tasks within the classroom
Struggling to manage emotions in different environments
Finding it hard to adapt to change or following a routine
Unsure of how to establish relationships with their peers and make friends
Poor gross and fine motor skills, such as difficulties with ball games, writing or drawing
Difficulty with sensory processing impacting on daily activities such as grooming, feeding, and coping in certain environments due to noise and other stimuli
Challenges in the community such as managing money and keeping appointments/schedules
